QUESTION Professional voice recording recommendations for IVRs

Hi guys,

I am building an IVR for a customer and they want to sound professional, I don't have everything they want to say in default system recordings so I had to Google something.

I came up with a site called amazing but they ask for $350 for 750-790 word custom recordings that is like 6 different files formatted as .wav, u-Law, 8 bit, 8 kHz - Code 03 .

Is this a fair price?

Do you have recommendations ? or any sites that you've worked for? I am in VA maybe somebody local?

I'm sure that for custom or longer projects you could get a custom quote that is economical

I still think a custom quote would be better... Once they start recording I think they'd be willing to give you a better deal

Digium came with $312 for the same text.

I use freelancer.com before for this for 12 different under 75 word prompts paid 50.00 you put up what you need done and individuals bid on the project and will send you sample voices to hear what they sound like I filtered through 40 different samples until I heard what I liked.

worked for me I also use it for other projects as well have never had an issue like I said I paid 50 for my prompts and are of same quality as high priced "commercial" I can also find negative reviews on VOIP vs landline

GM Voices. They also have a male/female voicepack to replace the default voices too if you like.
