purple build; skype; GLIBCXX error

newly built purple setup following the nerdvittles article,
Skype + Asterisk (still) = Beautiful Music + Free Phone Calls

and i get the GLIBCXX error.

it looks to my untrained eye as though an old version number is used to create a folder but a newer version is actually used?

how would i go about sorting this out - uninstalling current files and reinstalling correctly, or modifying to get working

Did you manage to find a solution to fix the Skype install issue?


An update,

it turned out that I was using out of date instructions. Once I used a more recent version of instructions from http://nerdvittles.com/index.php?p=748 Skype installed and works just fine. It was necessary to manually delete all Skype files and reinstall using the Nerdvittles script.

Another mistake I made was to select "NO" Allow SIP Guests located in the Asterisk SIP settings of FreePBX. This caused all inward calls to be refused.
