Purple fails to install

I've just tried on several occasions to do a new install of Purple over the last few hours and find that it's failing. The Purple container download seems to work succesfully but I'm then just prompted with a login screen.

I tried an install of Red and that's working fine so can only conclude that something is broken somewhere with the Purple download - a manual download however shows the same md5 key as is shown in the directory.

Can anybody shed any light on this issue?

I'm getting the same issue:
Code:

Anyone else been able to install purple 64 bit today?

It's held me up all day - anyone have any ideas what is causing the problem?

Is there a previous version we can fall back to?

I'm seeing an identical error here on a new 32-bit install of Purple using the pbxinaflash-17571.iso that was just released over the weekend.

Unfortunately, I don't see any of the usual logs for the install (I don't think it's getting far enough along to generate any), so there's not much else to go on.

The screen indicates that the payload is genuine and that every appears to have downloaded properly. Yet, the above crops up no matter what.

Lastly, I've attempted downloading from Repo #1, Repo #3, and the Dev Repo - all with the same error.

unfortuantely something crept into the build process. Still tracking it down be patient. Tom

FYI... Tried switching to one of the other installs (Bronze) and it works as expected. It appears to be something specific with Purple.

Thanks, Tom!

Can some one send me a copy of the log file please. PM me and I will send you an address. Just to help track down where it is....I have gone back several svn versions and this one is difficult to pin down.... If you are all in a yank then use the beta_1850 version which will work for the time being and then once 1860 is back I will let you know... There has been a bunch of changes in both purple and red and I am hoping it is jjust a misplaced ; as opposed to anything else.. Tom

I am only seeing this in /root/
anaconda-ks.cfg wget-log wget-log.3 wget-log.6
install.log wget-log.1 wget-log.4 wget-log.7
install.log.syslog wget-log.2 wget-log.5

Which log file?

I've dropped back the payload to earlier yesterday. Try it again and see if you see the same problems. Tom still needs the log!

NOTE: Latest payload is still on pbxinaflash.org.

Tom,

I'm running through the install process, again. I'll send you something shortly.

/var/log doesn't contain a install-purple.log

acpid btmp httpd mysqld.log spooler
anaconda.log conman lastlog pm tallylog
anaconda.syslog conman.old mail ppp wtmp
audit cron maillog rpmpkgs yum.log
boot.log dmesg mcelog scrollkeeper.log
brcm-iscsi.log faillog messages secure

Tom,

You must've already taken care of it. I see the install is currently proceeding as normal. I'll follow up on the results.

Guys

A) be patient
B) be patient
C) the problem has been resolved
D) we are testing it now
E) be patient
F) It has been uploaded to the beta testers
G) be patient
H) Once the beta testers are done then it will be released to PIAF space
I) be patient
J) the fixes correct purple and webmin problems
K) be patient
L) beta_1850 and above suffer from new dependency requirements and the old beta payloads HAVE NOT BEEN MODIFIED.
M) be patient
N) you can try dropping to the cli prior to doing a new install and run yum install sqlite-devel and see if that corrects your problem
O) be patient..... we do this on a volunteer basis. You want it faster pony up some money.
P) use only the 17571 ISO as it was released with most of the patches. Anything earlier WILL FAIL if you are installing recent purple or red. Toss away any ISO older than 17571
P) grrrrrrr

Once it is in PIAF space and available I will post an announcement.

Tom

BTW I just finished testing 32/64 purple/red on both virtual and hardware and EVERYTHING WORKS. Only tested the currently supported OFFICIAL VERSION ASTERISK 1.8.6.0 Everything else must wait till we get a chance to redo things.

New PIAF-Purple and PIAF-Red payload is now available. Thanks, Tom!
