Reboot server nightly

I even moved piaf to a newer P4 box, same issue.

let me restate the problem again, my sip and iax trunks would fail to remain registered for 3 to 4 days after a reboot.

but all of the sip phones (internal and remote) would operate fine, zap channel seemed fine as well, asterisk functioned fine, freepbx was fine, but without sip and iax trunks not registered, only zap calls can be made and received....

doing a reboot fixed issues.

i use ipcop for firewall, not sure if that contributes to the problem, i experimented by rebooting the firewall before rebooting piaf box, still no luck.

Have you tried disabling ipcop for a 3-4 days?

For some odd reason while talking other party randomly mutes for 1-2 seconds. My server is P4 with 512MB of ram and its handling 1 call at a time. I'm not sure what's causing it.

Which phones ? Aastra 57i ?

Havent tried, I meant to configure a cisco 800 series router to take over the ipcop's job for a few days but I gave up trying to get the cisco configured and I ran out of time.....forgot, did not have enough motivation to configure a cisco 800 series router again, maybe i should try this again.
