Hi all (especially Ward ;)).
I'm moving my own office system to a better computer, and it's been a while since my last update, so I'm going to just do a full system reinstall.
I'm going to be using the Incredible PBX system again, and using GV calling.
I'd also like to get incoming faxing working, which I wasn't been able to work out last time.
The plan is to stay with FreePBX 2.6, cause if it ain't broken, don't fix it. Or don't break it either. ;)
I've been using the PBXIAF system for a while now, close to a year and a half. Since the beginning, the recommendation was always to use Asterisk 1.4, since it was more stable, etc.
Recently, however, it seems like Asterisk 1.6 has become more stable, and more recommended.
I'm not necessarily going to do anything on my system that I need 1.6 for, but I need a recommendation for which version to go with.
If 1.4 is still more stable, and makes more sense, unless I features x and y, which I probably won't use anyway, then I may as well stay with 1.4.
But if 1.6 is just as stable, and there is no real reason why NOT to use it, then I probably should be using that.
The article still says to use the Silver installation option, but I need a recommendation for what to go with in this case, from the Asterisk and PBXIAF pros.
What will it be, gentlemen? 1.4? or 1.6?
Thanks a lot!!

1.4 still gets my vote because everything "just works" :wink5:

Got it, thanks a lot for the help and recommendation!
