Hi,
I have 2 installations at 2 different locations. Location A has pbxiaf 1.1 and LocationB has 1.2 installed.
I took the backup from 1.1 and tried to restore it on 1.2.
Now I am not able to log in to the admin console.
What went wrong.
Please help

I assume you mean you were not able to log into freepbx is this correct? Or were you not able to log into the kennonsoft main menu?

Generally a good thing to try is to run update-scripts and update-fixes. How did you backup system A did you use the freepbx backup? If so was freepbx and all of it's modules exactly the same version between the 2 boxes.

If you are trying to log into freepbx try using the admin/admin username and password and see if that lets you in.

I guess, because 1.1 uses asterisk 1.4 and 1.2 uses asterisk 1.6. Therefore my assumption is the packup of 1.1 is restored on 1.2 then it may not work. I am correct?

PBX in a Flash 1.2 supports Asterisk 1.4 or 1.6-beta, but they are two very different beasts. We've pretty much concluded that there's never going to be a smooth upgrade path from Asterisk 1.4 to Asterisk 1.6. That's a Digium design choice unfortunately. You will note that none of the other aggregations have an Asterisk 1.6 version. There's a reason. It's a can of worms to install. So... pick your poison.
