OK, I know this sound crazy, but due to a bug in asterisk and it's ability to pass dtmf toward zap cards, I need to switch back to asterisk 1.2 in order to cut-over this box. 1.2 does not have this issue.

My question is could I uninstall asterisk 1.4 on PiaF and install 1.2? How much will be broken or should I forget about attempting? Any suggestions?

Hi

I reckon it's feasible. I'd approach it as follows:-

amportal kill
service zaptel stop

go to /usr/src and go into each of the asterisk directories in turn and type make clean.

then download 1.2 asterisk zaptel, libpri, addons and untar them (tar zxfv zaptel)

Starting with the zaptel directory
make clean
make
make install
make config

then libpri and run the same commands except for make config

Then asterisk, and finally addons.

Reboot, and don't blame me when the whole lot goes tits up.

You may have to rerun freepbx install, cd /usr/src/freepbx, then ./install_amp

Ha, well sounds promising... As luck would have it I found one of Tom's old scripts for TB to update sources. With a few modifications, it seems to be working. I'll post the results when done :)
