Hi all,

we have 2 office locations in different time zone (about 5hrs) both of the offices are connected with IAX all internal extension calls are made nice.
Now the recomendation is to have both locations phone services combined. what it means: if someone calls either one of these location it will ring the ringroup of this location also the reception phone at the second location. on the same token since we have time different one reception phone will take the calls either before one location is open or when one location is done for the day. in order to have cover for more hours.

Since my IAX trunk is connecting both location i tried adding each receptionest extension in the ring group of each, but this did not work!

Ideas?????????

Thank you

Dave

This is done,
when the caller calls one location i need either one of the receptionest extension to pick up. what i mean if someone calls one location i want both receptionest desk phone to ring at the same time.

location A location B
08 to 12 ring grp loc A&B 08 to 12 ring grp loc B
12 to 17 ring grp loc A 12 to 17 ring grp loc B&A

location A 5 hrs ahead of B
m-f 8-5
each location handles after hrs with vm or whatever

Was it just ringing at the local reception extension, and not at the distant reception extension? If yes, put # after the distant extension in the ring group definition, ie. 200#

Sweet that worked nice,
i did the timecontion and time group and added #

Good to go

Thanks a bunch
