I have a router that just refuses to port fowrd (even when ll the settings are correct).

Is there still a way for me to set up the google voice with PBIAF?

Thanks

If your router is suppose to forward ports and it won't, throw it away. There is no way to tell what else isn't working on it.

Yep. Dump it ASAP.
Routers are almost free these days.
But they don't last.
When my router hiccups my Aastra Phones stop working.
All my other software copes with the occasional router hiccup, but not PIAF.
I am replacing my router too.

What router ?

I will second the thumbs up for the DLink DIR-825. I use that here at Area 51 (the wife's nickname for my office) and it's been great.

For clients, I've been using WRT54GL routers flashed with TomatoVPN. It's nice for remote administration and at $70 not painful to replace. I'd build my own PFsense boxes, but it's not economical.

Yep, routers do go bad. And there ain't much worse than a good router gone bad.:cowboyb:

The $70 price I mentioned is for a brand-spanking new one - even less if you hunt around. I agree on a big NO to used routers.
