We're moving offices Jan 24th. We're subletting our current space and management wanted to leave the phone system to help rent the space. I suggested an Asterisk system - PBXINAFLASH.
At the new space we have a PRI (have one under contract) and plan on virtualizing (on Hyper-V 2012) PBXINAFLASH. (I do have a backup server in case this goes south)
To interface with the PRI I bought a Sangoma 100G for $970 or so. I set it up on the network, configured an IP and created a SIP trunk between it and my PIAF box.
I've been anxious to test this before the move. Since I arrive work about 7am (way before users) I unplugged the PRI from our current PBX (Nortel) plugged it into the Sangoma, dialed my DID from my Cell-It worked!
I had some initial trouble with incoming calls but Sangoma Support was great and helped me out quickly. It was just a setting within the Vega.
I'm very relieved it worked. I thought it would be so much more difficult than it was.
Just wanted to share this as there are very few people that use these.
