I have been trying to install the Sangoma A500 (shows as A200 for lspci) with the BRI modules on PBXinaFlash and I am not getting any luck. I have followed the Sangoma installation instructions (14 times) and they do not work for me. Does anyone have any solid instructions to install the Sangoma BRI cards on PBXinaFlash?

Have you touched base with Sangoma Support? They are pretty good.

I would also suggest calling support. If you want something more from the forums it is probably a good Idea to give more data.

1. What instructions did you follow provide a link?
2. Durring those instructions were there any errors, what were they?
3. What did you do that didn't work?
4. What did you expect to happen?
5. What actually happened?

I am not a Sangoma person but the outputs of some Sangoma commands would probably be helpful too..

also make sure Sangoma know what country you are in - and check on either Telstra or ACMA website for the ISDN protocol used in Australia - it may well be subtly different to one used in the USA!

You might be seeing what I had happen to me. If you follow their directions, you get to a certain point in the install, and it asks you a question - I can't remember what it is - but basically it seems like it's saying "We're all done - do you want to finish now?" ... if you say yes, it doesn't install the tools you need to finalize the install!

So if this sounds familiar to you, and you're not getting the wanpipe binaries on your system, this is probably what's happening to you. I talked to Sangoma about this back at Astricon, but didn't really persue it much... just bitched to them that their install instructions are a long way off from the quality of their product :)

Hope that helps...

Thanks heaps for the replies!

I have tried to use the instructions from Sangoma to setup the card, using both the PBXinaFlash instructions which did not work and the BRI instructions which also did not work. Sometimes I get the "No Cards found error" or none at all, but when I reboot I get all sorts of startup errors. There is nothing wrong with the card, it was working before on another distribution (I did not install it). lspci lists the card, and it seems to work fine.

Sadly Sangoma support is only around when I am not at work so that does not really work (I am in Australia).

I am going to try again and get some log output or error messages.

I finally got it installed but I cannot remember what I did differently, of the 20 or so times I tried, they all merged into one memory by the end of it. If I ever pull it down or get another one I will write up how I got it to work.
