Please help me understand why it is necessary to have 4 or more characters to search with??

I can't search for the following
Fax
iax
sip !!!!
IVR
etc....

I can't even get combinations. I figured i can at least search for "fax detect" no go.

This is CRAZY

You're absolutely right. Unfortunately, the four-character search minimum is built into the wiring of vBulletin so there's no simple fix in their code. But here's a solution that works well...

Search for the three-letter word on Google like this:

iax site: pbxinaflash.com

Be sure to get rid of the space between site: and pbxinaflash.com. We have to include it above to avoid a smiley face.
