Setting PIAF with analog lines in Moscow Russia

Hi,

I've connected a server with piaf and TDM400 card with fxo and fxs modules and connected the analog line to the fxo and a telephone to the fxs.

Moscow numbers are 7 digits so I set it that way and also changed indications in the general setting to Russia.

But when I call even from the fxs phone I can't dial. I get a constant dial tone as if just picked up the phone no dialing is done.

Any advice?any one connected Asterisk to analog lines in Moscow?

You'd be better testing from a SIP phone.

USA and Europe wire up their RJ11's differently, I don't know what they do in Russia. IN UK and Europe we need to use Modem cables to connect to the PSTN and TDM400.

Solved. They are still using pulse-dial there, even in Moscow. Blasted.

I enabled pulse dial in zapata.conf and now it works. Thx.
