I have two PIAF servers in my home office and only one IP address from my provider. Is there a way to route calls to both servers even though I only have one IP address? Currently, I have to shutdown Asterisk on one box to allow the second to receive calls. BTW, I'm using SIP only.

Thanks is advance,

Vic

Hi

You could route from one to another, e.g. brong the calls in on one, and shoot them out to the other.

Only if you can control which ports the SIP is coming in on, can you control where the packets go, eg put one listening on 5060 and the other on 5061 - assuming you are in a position to control this.

Finally, you could get another Provider who uses IAX, and forward the IAX port to the other server.

Why?

Why do you need to do this?

You would need to put them both behind a router with DHCP and then do some port forwarding to 5060 for one and 5061 for the other...Provided you provider will change the port they use for one account.

EDIT: Joe, we musta been typing at the same time...physically connected...

Why? Test environment. I appreciate both responses.
