+ sign in caller id

I get a + sign leading every caller id number on my grandstream gxp2000 phone so the number cannot be dialed. I have searched high and low for this on the both the the phone and freepbx. I have had this phone for a long time and never had the problem until I installed the incredible pbx but otherwise the incredible pbx is marvelous.

Me too experiencing the same problem and "+" getting added to the caller ID..I don't know whether the problem is with asterisk or my service provider...

Assuming you are in the United States, you can use the from-pstn-e164-us context in the trunks that are delivering + signs in the caller ID.

For example if you see incoming calls on trunk XYZ giving the plus sign, add to or edit your peer definition:

context=from-pstn-e164-us
