NEED MORE INFO sip connection issue, piaf elastix 2.5 rentpbx

I just installed PIAF Elastix 2.5 on RentPBX and everything went as planned. Problem now is that I cannot get any of the endpoints to register to the pbx. I've whitelisted the public ip and the fqdn but still no luck. I can ping the server just fine from my location. Not sure where to go from here. thanks for the help.

Are the phones on the same IP address that you're pinging from??

No they are not. I can ping the rentpbx public ip from each of the whitelisted locations just fine. I even ran the port checker from elastix.org and verified 5060 is open. http://www.elastix.com/en/elastix-port-tester-2/
