TRY THIS SIP Trunks Failover when Main PBX Is Down

After 3CX deleted my hosted 3CX for no good reason, I needed a temporary solution for my DIDs I have with VoiceMeUp.com. Where do I send my SIP trunks ? I decided to try a softphone on my spare iphone, almost randomly chose Acrobits because it was fairly cheap and my phones were done. The idea was I would forward my VoiceMeUp SIP trunks to the softphone ... and it worked pretty well. (See it documented here -> LINK (coming)).

Limitations:
I only had one line at a time.
No voicemail (it seems).
It wouldn't work in Guided Access Mode (it appeared to work, but the incoming call popups were not getting through). I tried Guided Access so staff wouldn't be tempted to look at my Photos and read my text messages / iMessages (as it was on my second phone, no SIM).

Q: Any use a better PBX is down plan than what I did above ? ​

Anyone got a cheapy PBX as a backup ? (Log on to the SIP provider and forward to a second PBX ?)
Anyone got a good plan if their SIP provider has trouble? (Happened a few times over the last year with VoiceMeup, but I was impressed with their reliability and support).
