Hi All,

I am trouble with International dialing from a telephone using the Skype integration. I am able to place US domestic calls without issue.

Can anyone help me with the commands needed to dial the call? I have had a basic triage here, but the suggestions don't work.

As a point of clarification: I am dialing from a desk phone connected to an ATA (PAP2T-NA) connected to the server. Everything is a new install and works otherwise.

Thanks in advance,

B

If you're using the Nerd Vittles Skype setup, dial * followed by the exact number you would dial using Skype. You may need to adjust the dialplan on your ATA to support dial strings beginning with *.

Ward,

Thanks for the reply. The dial plan string in my ATA is:

(*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

I have no idea if it fits the bill. Assuming you were dialing Germany and a Skype call is typically: +49 1805 805 805 (Luftansa) how would you dial this from a standard telephone?

Thanks,

B

Just edit the dial string and change *xx to *. (including the period)

Then try dialing: *491805805805

Be very careful about security. Once you open this up, if someone breaks into your system, they've got free international calling (free to them at least).

I wonder how many channels the Skype gateway provides? Is that possible to allow multiple concurent Skype calls using one single Skype account? Thanks!
