OK, let me see if I can explain all of this....
In a ring group composed of analog phones and softphones, the softphones ring but they can't be answered; the other extensions continue to ring and the call isn't picked up.
To test, I made a ring group of an analog line (zap on TDM400P), one SIP client, and one IAX client. All work individually, and the SIP and IAX alone in the ring group both work. The problem occurs only when the analog line is added to the ring group.
Further, this only affects one client computer on the LAN, a laptop connected wirelessly. I suspected the wireless connection or access point, but if I remove the analog line from the group, then the softphones on the laptop have no problems.
All systems are on the same LAN, and testing with firewalls off doesn't have any effect.
System:
Latest PIAF
TDM400P using FXO port for analog lines
Client PCs:
openSUSE 11.0
Zoiper (IAX)
Ekiga (SIP)
Twinkle (SIP)
I'm completely stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
