Hello all and thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I am fairly new, so I apologize if this has been answered but I could not locate anything through searching.

I am using an aastra 57i phone and cannot seem to get it to display xml through use of the soft/hard keys.

The original guide I followed to setup pbx in a flash is the Nerd Vittles Step by step 1.3 tutorial:
http://knol.google.com/k/ward-mundy/pbx-in-a-flash/3uqc77rg9tgar/2#

I then used this document to set up the aastra and the xml
http://nerdvittles.com/?p=207.

When I attempt to use some of the xml for the soft/hard keys (e.g. directory, speed dial, parking lot) they simply say loading page... and then revert back to the home screen. Some will work however. Voicemail, other apps (the rss apps, clock) load correctly.

If someone can point me to some more information or can give any pointers, it would me much appreciated.

Edit:

One thing I forgot to mention is that when the phone boots, it has a cannot display page. I wanted to add this because I assume it is related

So a little more info, I updated to the newest scripts and when I reset the phone it prompts me for the extension and vm password. I input these and get the following error:

Configuration error

The application cannot connect to the Asterisk Manager.

I attempted to set up a softkey pointing to the directory.php and received the same message.

I've read some things about phpagi and the manager.conf and the asterisk.api but I am unsure how any of it is connected as I am failry new to linux and pbx in a flash/freepbx.

Can perhaps enlighten me with some info or point me in the right direction?

Thanks

His writeup is VERY dated... you would be better served to follow the very quick install in the XML thread stickied @ the top.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I installed the newewst scripts via the stickied thread at the top but no luck.

After examing sevreal files, I found the error in the hosts file. I fixed the errors and everything is working nicely now.
