Someone hacked my extension and I need help getting logs for police

For me, I don't 'look' at logs. My syslog program picks out keywords and pages my Blackberry. Then the syslog server gets backed up twice a day and I never have to worry about losing a log from any device in the data center.

I'm sure there's probably a way to just take the Asterisk full log and pipe it out syslog somehow, I'm just not nerdy enough to know how (yet).

Does Asterisk support syslog in any way? It would be beyond awesome if I could get a daemon.Error to my syslog reporting tool when someone fails to register.

Look at /etc/asterisk/logger.conf.

In addition, the Asterisk Manager Interface (port 5038) may be mature enough to give you a processed feed.
