Stanaphone shutting down..........

Found this in my email box this morning.......

After many years of providing valuable Internet telephony services to
customers worldwide, we have decided to discontinue the Stanaphone
service. We will be shutting down the Stanaphone service on December
1, 2008.

As of this notice, we are no longer accepting new Stanaphone credit
purchases. If you have a positive credit balance in your account, you
may continue using it to make and receive calls as usual between now
and December 1. If you have a positive credit balance remaining after
the service has been terminated on December 1, you can email customer
service ([email protected]) at that time to request a
refund to your credit card.

I've used them for years as a backup/test pay-as-you-go provider, and am sorry to see them go. I know they had closed their forum and stopped taking signups for a while now, so it doesn't come as a complete surprise. They are giving refunds of credit balances.
