Supermicro Intel Atom ??

I've built three PIAF 1.4 machines with this setup and they work fine. The only thing you'll have to do is install the NIC drivers that are available from Realtek's website. the 1.5 beta builds I hear will support the NICs out of the box.

You can add an PCIe expansion board in there with the PCIe Riser card which costs 10-20 dollars. The expansion slot will take x1 through x8 PCIe cards.

The system will take one 3.5" HDD or up to two 2.5" HDDs with a bracket adapter.

Don't think newegg sells the riser or adapter but eWiz does. They tend to be iffy on stock for the riser & 3.5" > 2.5" adapter however.

Some additional discussion regarding this setup here:

This is my solution too - works very nicely - easy to set up and very reliable. No audio issues at all.

There is a guy on ebay (padresdave) that sells these already made - 1U rack mounts - i purchased one of these in a Supermicro case
