Telephone Reminders-External Numbers

hi There,

Goal:
I'm trying to implement telephone reminders. The goal is to schedule a pre-recorded message that will call a patient the day before their appointment as a reminder.

The Problem:
As soon as the end users phone begins ringing, asterisk begins playing the recorded message. If the end user picks up the phone on the 1st ring, they may hear 90% of the message, but if they pick up the phone on the 3rd ring, they may get only the last few words.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Perhaps some suggetions as to how I can accomplish this?

Hi

It sounds like something answering the call. Are you using analogue channels, if so, there is no way round it. If you are using a VOIP provider, they may be answering the call.
