I have a friend that understands how to hire contractors online and keeps getting burned by Asterisk "experts" that are totally clueless.

This $5 thing is obviously a silly gimmick.

There is an opportunity for high-quality Asterisk professionals to offer support services at market rate or better. Think "Holmes On Homes" where the pro comes and fixes up the horrible mess the previous "expert" left behind.

This person is from Pakistan so be especially careful with remote access and use a tool such as screen so that you can watch/record any remote access. Better yet, NO REMOTE ACCESS from someone you don't know and trust.
