The fall of the greenie empire?

It's been pretty quiet since August according to these postings.

I personally think that this unanswered comment sums it up:

I tend to agree after the latest postings... it is like a bad movie you keep watching to see if it gets better.... :puke:

poor greenies I almost feel sorry for them.......

Tom

They even mention their endpoint manager as being 'specious' (eg, Misleading in appearance) because of the work done here, at PBX in a Flash (that is being used on FreePBX, Elastix, Blue.Box)

Look at what you guys did ;-)

This is just one of the many reasons our company has switched to the PIAF distribution.

I had been a long-time user of "greenie" - no more. The silence from Fonality is deafening!

Andrew came out of hiding long enough to delete my post once I invited the poor and disgruntled to come join us here. :D

It might not have been andrew.... I suspect it is the one called skyking.... something Still what more do you expect out of that fine institution?

The whole saga reminds me of killer clowns from outer space for some reason....

Still welcome all new PIAF'ers! We hope you enjoy our forums! If you have questions feel free to ask them.

Best regards

I will say SkyKing has been super helpful to me in the past. I've always considered him one of the good ones over there. He will spend hours in the forums helping anyone, as long as he can see that you're holding up your end of the bargain by providing the info he's asking for.

I could be wrong, but I would be surprised if he deleted your post. He's spoken openly about other distros before, and I believe for his production systems he "rolls his own", as he would say.

I had lunch with Kerry and Andrew. I asked Andrew what was up with Trixbox.

He was passive-aggressive and defensive. He didn't understand all the negative criticism. He said folks need to just "look around" and see the community is still alive and well.

He also said all the "good stuff" has already been done. Nothing new is really out there, so there's no real reason for him to put out any updates.

I believe you, Ward, prove that statement false...

Kerry was his usual rude self, cutting off conversations and interjecting his otherwise unwelcome drivel. I tried to be nice and civil, but I see that some things never change.

Re: "Nothing New"

Funny. Check back on Nov. 1. :sorcererb:

Andrew has always operated on his own timetable, has never really paid much credence to anyone's contributions or feedback (no matter how helpful or level of effort), and has remained firmly in control of absolutely everything (no collaboration, no relinqueshing, no helping)... Andrew is simply going to do what Andrew wants to do, when Andrew wants to do it. This has ALWAYS been the issue w/ Andrew; Fonality throwing $$$ at him and 'buying' their very own community just made things more pronounced.

Kerry, well... it's Kerry. He's good with PR and providing a face, I'll give him that, but I can't say much other than what you've already pointed out (it's his personality).

Skyking has been into Asterisk since the A@H days... I'm honestly surprised he's stuck with the greenie weenies this long. He's a smart guy; just don't understand the dedication to the boys in green.

I have not been on the lime green forums since I wrote the last post.
Well, I thought that I could just bump it, but I could not login, my account was closed. Who cares?
So andrew did not care to post anything in the thread but followed my advice to close my account.
Hmm, I wonder if he followed all the advices that I gave him.

I never saw this post and Obelisk just posted a link so I thought I would respond a bit late.

Clearly it was not me that deleted your post.

Many people confused my assistance to the huddled masses that did not know any better than to install trixbox for support of Fonality. In actuality I was an outspoken critic of Fonality and extremely vocal once they forked FreePBX.

These days the majority of my free time and spare resources of my company are spent supporting the FreePBX project.
