Currently I use Voip Innovations for toll free origination and Local DID's for one of the companies I work for. I also use Alcazar for some of the other ones.
VI has an excellent reliability record (other than a DoS issue a year or so ago) and good feature that fails over to our answering service if we have a datacenter outage or some other weird PBX problem.
In order to create carrier diversity for this business for origination, I am thinking of splitting off either the DID's or Toll Free portion onto another carrier, and I'd prefer the latter.
So I was wondering if people had suggestions of carriers who:
1. Do Toll free Origination around the 1.5 c min mark (US), about 5000 minutes but growing a month
2. Offer a "forward on failure option" or alternatively a failover to another IP address (because I can setup a simple PIAF or something backup server at RentPBX etc to handle the call flow in a failure)
3. Support static IP authentication (not SIP registration)
4. Toll free fax to email support would be a bonus but really isn't necessary
5. Have a near perfect reliability record in your experience and perhaps geographic diversity.
Thanks for the suggestions.
