Transfer straight to Voicemail

How do I transfer an extension directly to voicemail? This seems like a no-brainier, but it has me stumped.

Xfer > * > Extension > Send

On My Aastra Phones my secretary just hit "Ignore" (1 button) and that stopped bugging her and the caller just waited for voice mail.

This is not working for me.

Xfer > *Ext > Send

I receive the response, "Phone <Ext> is currently unavailable, Goodbye." The extension that it speaks is the extension I am transferring from - strange.



I got it working. I just changed it so that reception had to dial 9 first in order to transfer. There must have been featured code conflict.
