I have a did#1 from isp1 that is set as the main phone to reach. I would like to have more channels for incoming calls, but wouldn't want to pay too much.

There is a cheaper alternative in my case with freephoneline as voip provider (long term). The only problem with this is only one channel per did#. Let's say I purchase did#2, did#3 and did#4 from them.

I would like to know if there is a way to connect:

Incoming calls to did #1 (voip provider 1) --> transfer to did #2 (voip provider 2) and then disconnect did#1 --> did#2 will take IVR

If did #2 is busy, and another Incoming calls to did #1 (voip provider 1) --> transfer to did #3 (voip provider 2) and then disconnect did#1 --> did#3 will take IVR

If did #2 & 3 are busy, and another Incoming calls to did #1 (voip provider 1) --> transfer to did #4 (voip provider 2) and then disconnect did#1 --> did#4 will take IVR

-------

How do we do it in incrediblepbx?

Incoming DID, when transferred to another DID would hold both lines active during the call. This would compound your problem. You need to find a VOIP DID provider that allows multiple inbound calls to the same DID number. Many VOIP trunk providers offer this service in the USA. I don't know your location.

yeah the main did can accept 2 inbound calls to the did. I just would like to find a way to hang up once the call has been transferred to the other provider.

loaction is area code 514 to 514 (same) thanks

Unless you have an expensive ISDN PRI with some features from the central office which allow trunk redirect transfer, I don't believe you can accomplish what you want with IncrediblePBX (or any other PBX.) Check out Voip.ms or AnveoDirect.com as a provider in Montreal and port your DID to them.

Then you can have multiple incoming calls to that number on one SIP trunk. If you wish to route to another external number, this will require and inbound trunk and an outbound trunk and the PBX will remain in the middle of the call. If all your calls are coming to local extensions on your IncrediblePBX, then your problem is solved.

Thanks.

So all these: follow me, customs destinations, conference etc.. will not be able to free one trunk and go to another one? In other words, if I free up the initial trunk, everything will fall apart, right? (disconnect, hangup on everything)?

Yes. That is correct.

thanks.

I ahve another question may not be related.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Number 1 (3 channels)
Number 2 (different provider) (only 1 channel)

I would like to use number 1 mostly for incoming and outgoing voice calls.
I would like to use number 2 mostly for incoming and outgoing FAX.

My incredible fax installations give me 4 modems: ttyIAX0,ttyIAX1,ttyIAX2,ttyIAX3.

How do we setup the modem to use by default number 2 trunk, and if busy, to use number 1 trunk for outgoing faxes?

(I was thinking maybe linked ttyIAX0 to number 2 trunk --> but no way to do this and then get the ttyIAX0 to be set as default for incoming/outgoing faxes --> also don't know how to do it)

Assuming if it is possible, what can we do not to screw up the order for outgoing calls as number 1 trunk set as preferred over numbre 2 trunk?
