I have travelin Man 3 installed, and it appears to be working correctly. I have an Aastra 6757i phone, and an OBI 202 connected at a particular location, and both work fine.
The odd behavior occurs when the IP address changes. Since there is no active ip update client when the office is empty, iptables should begin to block the connections. The Aastra phone goes off-line as expected, but the OBI stays connected, and the current IP address shows up on the peers list.
If I go to DYN.COM and change the address manually to the one seen for the OBI, the Aastra phone comes back on line as expected.
So, my real question is why doesn't the OBI go off-line. Does this indicate some flaw or vulnerability in iptables?
Your thoughts?
