SOLVED Travelin'Man problem

I'm having an issue adding an ip address with the add-ip command, I am getting the below error:

Invalid IP address. Please try again.
Server: 10.0.6.3
Address: 10.0.6.3#53

** server can't find ipaddress: NXDOMAIN

I am also getting the same type of error when running the add-fqdn command.
add-fqdn sip.babytel.ca fqdn

Invalid FQDN. Please try again.

Am I having DNS issues?

you have wrong syntax for add-fqdn

There is a long thread about Travelin Man that most likely addresses your add-ip problem and how to work around it...

I got it to work, however, the ipchecker script I can't modify, it gives me a permission error.
