Hi,

I get a kernel panic and need to append root= in GRUB.conf. I have no idea what to actually append that to????? I realise this is a Centos Issue rather than a pbxinaflash problem but was hoping to find some help here.....

Currently this is the entry:
root= /dev/volumegroup00/logvol00. If that is wrong, what should it be then and if so, why was it put there in the first place??

Thanks in advance

some more info

I have now installed with using Ksalt which has the same result. The only difference is that the line now reads root=LABEL=\

I really am at a loss as to what to put there or how to find out what to change......

Hi,

Core2Duo
2GB RAM
Gigabyte Board
80GB Seagate SATA

PBXinashflash 1.4 installs without issues on the same machine....

Nope no cigar

Hi Ward,

Tried that - gets stuck on the formatting drive part..... tried another drive (even though 1.4 installs fine on there, just in case) - same issue......

Any more ideas??

Succes!!!

The install for 1.5 that I downloaded (3 times!) for $5 didn't work, but the one I downloaded from beta.pbxinaflash did the trick!!!!!!

There does seem to be an issue with 1.6 as per my previous reply, but I managed to get 1.5 installed.

Thanks for the help.

Theo
