What setup do you feel would be better? In the following scenario.
Scenario
Small office (5 employees). Several employees are away from the office a great deal (traveling not static). They are equipped with a netbook computer in order for them to check e-mails, do work etc. Want them to be able to use the office PBX to check voice mail, make calls (internally and externally)
Currently have IAX trunks configured with desktop phones
(working well)
Choices appear to come down to:
A. PBX in a flash server at the office with remote extension
configured. With a (Counter-path?) soft phone installed on the netbooks (I am guessing security would be the main concern here)
B. PBX in a flash server at the office and PBX in a flash installed using VMware on the netbooks. (From reading concern regarding call quality)
Well thats it - suggestions are welcomed. Alternatives are welcomed also (even if it means more reading)
Thanks to all
