We have been doing some work on the daily and whole disk backup programs and have released a new set of them
install-diskbackup
1. The mondo repo has been failing as of late so we have taken the most stable version and are now hosting it ourselves. The new install program will now install rpm's instead of using yum. This applies to both 32/64 bit versions
2. We have moved the status of install-diskbackup to EXPERIMENTAL. This warning has been added in to the install program. We felt that while the latest version of mondo works like a dream both for backup and restore. It still does not work well with LVM or RAID (you may have better luck) Thus no warranty express or implied.
3. ftp has not been upgraded yet..... coming RSN
4. Added a warning that you must test your backup and restore before even trying to rely on them. If people still complain that "I did not test the restore before I needed it and now I am hosed" we may have to go to writing an agreement paragraph in order to install it.......
5. Added new code to allow for this program to be run again for updates. Now if it finds a disk-backup.conf file it leaves it alone and then copies over the new one to disk-backup.new
6. Now checks for existing versions of the mondo family and uninstalls them prior to installing the latest version of the mondo family.
7. All of the source files for mondo are readily available and the address is displayed on the last page of the install.
install-dailybackup
1. Corrected error that did not consistently clean up destination folders
2. Added new code to allow for this program to be run again for updates. Now if it finds a daily-backup.conf file it leaves it alone and then copies over the new one to daily-backup.new
3. Altered the program to use the existing ampbackup.pl (if installed) there are some differences between some versions of FreePBX. If ampbackup.pl does not exist one from 2.6 is installed and used.
That's all
I recommend if you have already installed the daily and disk backup programs you rerun the install-dailybackup and install-diskbackup to take advantage of the new features.
here is how
1. run update-programs
2. run install-dailybackup
3. run install-diskbackup.
Remember you must test both the backups and restore functions prior to relying on any backup

Did I mention that install-diskbackup is experimental?
