updated status and statustofile

We have just released updated status and statustofile programs into PIAF space

status

Removed released on data. This was confusing to people who thought it meant the release of PIAF

Added virtualization awareness. Now status will indicate if you are running under one of the virtualization environments.

fixed the partial reporting of the running asterisk version. This was due to an "improvement" digium did.

Extensive new command line features

added dahdi configuration parsing

added virtualization checking

added some new information reporting such as

fdisk -l
pstree
lspci
lsusb

which should aid when debugging problems

How do I get these new programs

update-programs


More awareness of virtualized environments is coming however we still need people to test statustofile under some of the virtualized environments

such as

virtual pc
Xen
virutozzo
Hyper V

and if it is not recognized send us some files so we can add it.

Eventually we hope to be able to offer virtualization specific patches for PIAF
