I have a client running iPBX13-12L on on-site hardware - installed in early 2017. It's a small installation - 2 DIDs + 10 phones, and it's running well.

All current updates have been applied to the existing iPBX - Asterisk is v.13.17.1, iGUI is v.12.0.39 CentOS 6.9. I would like to upgrade their installation to HiFormance - but the HiFormance product is iPBX13-13.

Can I successfully apply a backup of the 13-12L installation to the HiFormance 13-13?

In this way I can effectively duplicate their iPBX, and work out any bugs - leaving their existing installation unchanged and not affecting the business. Of course, I could apply the backup to the 13-13 and just see what happens. But, I don't want to waste time trying that if the installation is likely to fail due to the difference in particularly the iGUI (v.12.0.39 to v.13.0.122.33).

Thanks for suggestions and insight.
/Pete./

Well, no responses! ... I was not surprised though, as the backup from a 13-12L installation fails rather dramatically when attempting to install on an 13-13L! Rather, I had hoped that there would be something to start from ... but no luck in that regard. Am now in the process of building a 13-13 system from the Incredible13-13 ISO ...

You can't move from the 13-12 with FreePBX 12 to 13-13 with FreePBX 13. Too much has changed. Sorry for the delay in responding.

This isn't as hard as it looks though - do the bulk handler for the extensions, that's the ugly part, then you just have IVR, Routes and Trunks to handle. . . . can be done manually usually in a few hours.

Thanks for the feedback @wardmundy and @atsak ... turns out that the IVR and time-of-day, holiday and weekend schedules are the big deal in this situation that I was hoping to find a shortcut. And for only 10 extension phones, that's proven to be the easy part! For the other, it's probably

you might try to use backup and restore from the FreePbx dashboard menu. i tried and works between same version Freepbx. no idea if it works between 2 different versions.

It definitely does not work between versions. It does between the same version of FPBX.
