Upgraded polycom 601 to 3.1.6 but now no services and no buddies button.

I successfully updated my polycom 601 to 3.1.6 but now the services button does nothing, also there is no option for buddies, etc...

The update replaced sip.cfg and your "tweaks" got overwritten back to factory defaults. Does that help ?

The phone came with the "tweaks" when I purchased it on ebay.

Does anyone have a sip.cfg with those "tweaks"?

Hi.

The "buddies" tab is actually from the trixbox version of sip.cfg. Endpoint manager (which I believe you are using) doesn't use the trixbox version incase of copyright issues. I believe I sent you the trixbox sip.cfg file but if you can't find it I can send it again.

To help further we need more info on what PBX you are running how the Polycom phones get their config information. ie normally from the PBX via FTP and sometimes t*f*t*p. You should have a polycom config file directory. Thats where the Polycom phones get their config info. When it came from Ebay it was pretty much blank except the core OS. Sort of.

jwells - I am using pbx in a flash. I have a t*f*t*p directory, and it is successfully loading the cfg file.

But what I am trying to accomplish is to have BLF (where it will show if a user is on the phone) also where it will monitor a parking lot.

I have the 14 extension rider. But how do I make use of all 14 (plus the 6 that are in the phone itself). On the web config page, it only shows 12 lines.


I also would like to get some of the demo apps loaded and running on it:

I think I sent you the non-trixbox sip.cfg file.

Try this one and rename it to sip.cfg

You won't have to change any other settings, except maybe replacing the services and applications links near the end of the file.
