I purchased one of these foxconn barebones boxes and threw in some new ram and a sata drive. I'm running Piaf in a virtual machine and would like to move it to this box instead so I can offload my aging server.

It doesn't have an optical drive. Does anyone know how to install the latest Piaf build from a USB stick? I've tried using dd to copy the iso over to the flash drive and a USB drive. Neither one wants to boot the system....before I go out to buy an external DVD drive, I'd like to know that I'm trying this correctly.

I saw that - it's for PIAF-1.7.5.5.5-FlashDrive-CentOS-5.5-32bit

PIAF appears to be at 7.5.6.1 currently? Can't I use this instead?

No, you can not use the 1.7.5.6.1 ISO for a USB yet. It has not been made compatible for USB. The only option for USB installs is the 1.7.5.5.5 FlashDrive ISO.

Ward and the crew are so busy between working out bugs with CentOS 5.6, payload issues, and their day jobs among other things that they have not even had the chance to convert the ISO.
:)
