Well I thought I would use Google Voice add-in module (Marcus Brown) to add 2nd google voice number for faxing to PIAF 2.8.1.4 . Now outbound calls don't work. All circuits are busy. This happened to me before and I gave up and just rebuilt. How can I fix this issue? I removed the account and inbound route but still can't call out. Inbound works. Any help I would appreciate.

What version are you using. Where did you get it from?

Marcus Brown no longer works on this module. It is now managed by the FreePBX team.

You DO realize in the older versions you have to dial 1 plus the area code.

In the newest version I just released you don't have to do that anymore.

Just did new build last week with the latest version so It's not like I have an old build. I just enabled it through modules. Haven't changed anything except enable this to add 2nd gv number. Any suggestions? Yes I realize a 1 is needed. What's your point?

Well since I released the new version last night you do not have the correct build at all

And that's my point. Eg. You aren't up to date

Also you avoided all of my questions. Like what version are you at and where did you get it from

I'm getting the same error on a fresh install as of an hour ago; Purple 1.8 with incredible 2; status all green. SourceForge was the source. Suggestions?

As asked aboved (twice) did you install the latest version of the google voice module. And if you think you did what version. Did you install. I will bet you are not on the latest.

Next person who asks for help without providing a google voice module version is going to get slapped

Pbx in a flash versions do not help me

Freepbx versions would help. Yes.

People, what tm1000 is wanting you to tell him is the version number of the Google Voice module you have installed. To do that you go to Module Admin and then look for the line with Google Voice on it. The version number is the second item on the line:

Google%20Voice%20module%20version.png

In the above example the version is 0.5.0. If you can't be bothered to go look there and include the version number in your post, then no one is going to want to help you. If you don't have at least 0.5.0 then see this post.

Here in lies the clarification ... everyone is use to supplying the version of Asterisk/FreePBX/etc, I never thought to supply the GVoice module, my apologies. Slaps accepted ... just nothing kinky. Turns out, IF 0.5.0 is the latest, then I'm running Google Voice0.0.9Marcus BrownEnabled. I attempted an update from the module page right after installation, it was not updated (the lastest just being posted yesterday undoubtedly why). What's the easiest way to update?

Thanks in advance!

http://svn.freepbx.org/contributed_modules/release/googlevoice-0.5.0.tgz

Download that then go to upload modules under module admin and install. Then hit the orange reload bar. Then login as root under ssh and run 'amportal restart'

Thats the first attempt to get it working for you.

I also hope you didn't mod your chan_gtalk.conf files.

So is there anyway of changing what the Google voice module unsupported version by Marcus Brown did in order to get outgoing working again? Does the unsupported version change some files (.conf)?

Name didn't change.

If you mean the online update, that is not supported for that module. Download the TGZ from above in tm1000's post and upload it in Module Admin. Then scroll down to the Google Voice module and select Upgrade. Process Changes, Apply, Reload.

Download and install the new module from tm1000's post above.

Module updated to 0.5.0; here is what is in the log file (hoping this is just a configuration error on my part). Should I delete and recreate the google voice entry or will the update pick up and run with the prior entry?

Thanks again (especially for the quick replies)!

All I want to know is how to reverse what the Marcus Brown's google voice module did to outbound calls. If no one knows, Then I will just have to rebuild again.
:crazy:

You guys did enable the loading of the jabber and chan gtalk modules and then you did do an amportal restart

And yes sure you just want it to work but the problem is you keep avoiding all the questions we keep asking you.

Please look in /etc/asterisk/modules.conf and make sure the top part looks like this, you do this after you setup the google voice module:

Code:
[modules]
autoload=yes
      load = res_jabber.so
      load = chan_gtalk.so
      ;You must change noload to load on the above 2 lines above AFTER you have configured the conf files!

Yes the top of my file looks like this. Not avoiding anything here. What else do you need (info)?
**********
;
; Asterisk configuration file
;
; Module Loader configuration file
;

[modules]
autoload=yes
load => res_jabber.so
load => chan_gtalk.so
preload => pbx_config.so ;auto-inserted by FreePBX
preload => chan_local.so ;auto-inserted by FreePBX
;
; If you want, load the GTK console right away.
; Don't load the KDE console since
; it's not as sophisticated right now.
;
noload => pbx_gtkconsole.so
;load => pbx_gtkconsole.so
noload => pbx_kdeconsole.so

Not crazy

Brand new install with versions listed (1.7.5.6.2). Verified outbound calls worked ext 223. Installed new GV module and now message is circuits are busy. Is this GV version not compatible with this version??

cd /root
wget http://incrediblepbx.com/incrediblepbx18.x
chmod +x incrediblepbx18.x
./incrediblepbx18.x

PBX in a Flash Version = 1.7.5.6 Running on *HARDWARE* │
│ FreePBX Version = 2.8.1.4 │
│ Running Asterisk Version = 1.8.5.0 │
│ Asterisk Source Version = 1.8.5.0 │
│ Dahdi Source Version = 2.5.0+2.5.0 │
│ Libpri Source Version = 1.4.12 │
│ IP Address = │
│ Operating System = CentOS release 5.6 (Final) │
│ Kernel Version = 2.6.18-238.9.1.el5 - 32 Bit

Aside from looking at your setup myself I can't help you.

Is this GV version not compatible with this version??

What kind of question is that? Not compatible with what version? I've got a few people so far who aren't having issues with it (myself included)

Why would you install the module if you already had it working with incrediblePBX. I would say it's not compatible with incrediblePBX (I don't know what files ward modifies)
