I have a very specialized video conference demo that I am putting together. I have PIAF Asterisk 1.6 server with Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 cameras (supposedly 720p).
I need a video client that can call through the PIAF server, do high def, full screen FMV. The server and clients are all on the same network, no internet access. The call needs to go through the PIAF server in order to trigger scripts through the dialplan that setup some external equipment. That is, unless I can find a client that can trigger external programs/scripts when a call is received.
I have tried Xlite & Xlite Beta, but the former crashed when sending video, while the latter didn't do full screen video. I've also tried Ekgia which gave a bigger picture, but crashed on the terminator due to some resolution fiddling I am doing when the call is answered.
Other clients I've treid: Polycom PVX, but it wouldn't make calls through Asterisk (on the Astersisk console I only see the hangup code being hit, not any call progress traces), and Emblaze-VCON. Of the two, Emblaze seems to be the closest of the two, but I can't get it to pass video through Asterisk using SIP, only point-to-point H.323 is passing video but that bypasses Asterisk and doesn't trigger my scritps. Also, fullscreen video just doesn't appear to be high-def.
Does anyone have any suggestions on other video clients that may work in this situation?
Thanks,
Troy Carpenter
