Visual Voicemail on an Aastra 57i

Hi,

I've got the 2.2.1 patch 3 scripts installed and am running some aastra 57's.

I'm noticing a strange behavior, and wondered if it's supposed to be this way or if I've got a glitch.

1. When I'm press voicemail I'm prompted for the user/pw
2. I'm then given a list of messages to choose from
3. I select the message
4. Press play
***here's where the issue starts***
5. The phone beeps twice, starts playing the message, then prompts me for my user name and password.

The message will finish, but at that point my options are to enter my user/pw again or select exit.

Seems like the call info (and options) should remain on the screen.

new development...visual voicemail works perfectly on a new aastra 55i phone. Could it be phone specific?

ok...here's what fixed it...

deleted MAC.cfg for the phone from both
/tftpboot
and
/var/cache/aastra

Restarted phone.

I'm having the same problem, but I don't have a /var/cache/aastra directory.

I can verify those directories when I'm at the office again on Friday. I'll do my best to remember and to post.

Nevermind, I figured out why that directory doesn't exist. I was using an old version of the scripts. It's probably why the voicemail wasn't working either.
