I am setting up a queue for a customer service ring group. When everyone is on the line, it will push to the queue. The queue gives the option to leave a message, which I have set up as a VM Blast and created a custom announcement. All is working as expected. I am searching for a way to disable the post-announcement allison message 'if-correct-press.ulaw' and 'digits/1.ulaw' and just have it go straight to a beep or recording. In the VM Blast settings, I have changed the Audio Label to my custom recording, but I do not see a way to disable to post-message. Can anyone point me to the right config file or setting? I am using 2021 on Debian through the crown cloud auto installer (which is awesome btw!).

Although this is system wide, have you tried Disable Standard Prompt in Voicemail Admin?

I quickly set this up, and have the above option to Yes, and when I dial my queue with failover to VMBlast, I just get a Beep. Is this what you're trying to achieve?

I think your VM Blast Audio Label setting is set to beep instead of message? I did try that system-wide VM change to disable the standard prompt but it did not change anything. To answer your question, yes, I am trying to achieve just a beep after the custom recording.

My setup in VM Blast Audio Label is set to my custom recording. If I set it to Beep then it simply just beeps as expected, but then I cannot play a custom message prior. Perhaps I cannot get around the if-correct-press in VM Blast because it is integral to the function and I am trying to use it for something it's not designed for?

I saw this article about shared mailboxes and BLF.

Perhaps this is the better way to go? My needs are pretty simple, we are a small company. When all customer service agents are on the phone and the customer does not want to wait, a shared voicemail between only the customer service staff is the ideal setup.

You were correct. I changed it to a greeting and now I get your behavior.

Shared mailbox will work, if that's the use case here. I use a shared mailbox for my home so both my wife & I get flashing BLF in our offices (opposite ends and floors of the house).

I found a post about how to disable the if-correct-press message in /etc/asterisk/extensions_override_freepbx.conf but I am wondering if there is a functional reason to use a shared mailbox vs blast? My scenario is 3 customer service reps, each in the same ring group. If I do a shared mailbox, I assume a single user can delete individual messages as they've been addressed so other users can listen to the remaining messages and act on them and delete after they've been addressed? I think the blast feature is not really meant to be used in a shared mailbox-type of way now that I have been exploring more but want to make sure I am not overlooking something.

Exactly. Using VMBlast causes each user to have their own copy of the message, not knowing if anyone has followed up with the caller yet.
