I'm struggling to get a GV Simonics trunk Incoming to work (outgoing is fine). In the asterisk log I get:
[Nov 8 10:42:00] NOTICE[15340][C-0000000e]: chan_sip.c:26399 handle_request_invite: Failed to authenticate device "NAME" <sip:[email protected]>;tag=1690353244
I'm following this guide: http://nerdvittles.com/?page_id=18280 (BTW, I think there is a typo in the image for "Register". Should "Remote server" be gvgw.simonics.com not the GV#?)
According to Bill at this link: http://support.simonics.com/support/solutions/articles/3000032505 one of issues is "match_auth_username = yes" which I assume is handled by "Double-check IPBX:General Settings:SIP Protocol Defaults to verify that Match Users with Username field is checked." And it is checked.
Not clear where to look next. Suggestions on fix/debugging?
