NO JOY Webmin missing from main menu on fresh install of Purple 32bit

I just installed the latest 32-bit Piaf - purple, and everything seems to be working properly except that I cannot connect to webmin. I see it in the startup so it is installed and should be running. In Piaf 1.4 I used to have a link on the main menu next to the link for "Menu configuration" and "FreePBX Administration", but now I dont see it. I also tried connecting to [PBX address]:9001 but no dice. Please help! Thank you.

drop to cli

service webmin status

if it fails then it did not get installed for some reason


yum -y install webmin


The payloads have all been modified to ensure that webmin and a couple of other packages get installed. Seems Centos 5.7 has some problems.

Same issue here. No webmin on PiaF login page and webmin isn't reachable directly via http.

Service status says it's running.

Did another complete fresh PiaF install in case something went wonky the first time, but exact same issue.

Doing a yum install will not resolve the issue, as it appears as Webmin is already installed.

Sorry about that unfourtunately centos 5.7 was playing tricks with us and we had to didle some of the code to ensure webmin was actually being loaded at the end.... grrrrrrr

The real problem was a couple of lines of code were being run too early...

always something in piaf land
