Which SOHO router for QoS

Hi,

I am looking for a SOHO router to manage priority for SIP and RTP/RTCP traffic.
The idea I have is that since the devices can set DSCP codes in their IP Packets, the router should be configured to treat those packets preferentially. This works seamlessly when we add more devices on the premises.

Currently, the routers I have seen have QoS settings based on the port/MAC or Application. This solution does not scale.

Any thoughts and suggestions please?

Look into the ZyWall 2 Plus. It's a really nice small office / branch office router.

Any other suggestions for a small office ?

Asus WL-520GU flashed with either Tomato or DD-WRT. The router will set you back about $50 and the software is free.

For a serious router/firewall load any old computer with pfsense. If you don't want to do that load up a WHR-HP-G54 with OpenWRT, DD-WRT, or Tomato.
