I have an extension that has a follow me.

The plan is as follows: Ring the SIP extension for 10 seconds, then ring a cell phone and sip extension, for 10 seconds, but then the voicemail should be left on the system not on the cell phone.

So I have:
Ring strategy: ringallv2
Initial Ring time :10
Ring Time max: 10 ( I tried with 20 as well)
Follow me list: 100
200 - which is a custom extension (SIP/XXXX/XXXXXXX)
Destination if no answer: VM of 100

But it appears that once the cell phone starts ringing, it will continue to ring until the cell phone vm picks up. I tried dropping the max ring time to 2 seconds, but it still keeps on ringing the cell phone until it picks up.

I also tried instead of putting an extension as the call phone, entering in the cell number directly XXXXXXXX# but the same problem occurs.

Thanks

That's been doable for a very long time. For cell phones, you usually want to try using 60 second for ring time max. I've seen some carriers take a good 20 seconds just to "find" the cell phone, even though you hear ringing. Make sure you have confirm incoming call. Otherwise, when your cell's voicemail answers asterisk thinks the call is answered, thus causing the call to end up at your voicemail. YOu will end up with voice mail on your cell stating "you have an incoming call, press 1 to accept, 2 to decline" until the 60 second time out is reached.
