I have a need for a B2BUA. I have a preference for Open Source Software, with a GPL license (not an appliance from a hardware vendor). I need to have non-sysadmin level staff be able to add new users when necessary, so something with a WebUI or similar would be useful but not mandatory. We won't be doing anything too fancy. Mainly just registering endpoints, and connecting them to PBXs.

I've had a look at SEMS and OpenSIPS. Either seem like they'd do the job for me, but I can't decide which way to go. B2BUAs are a new area for me, so before I dive in and learn a new system, I thought I should check in and see what others recommend.

 Ok, I hadn't thought of using it like that in this instance. I've been looking at SBCs with B2BUA features, but some have more features than I need. More reading needed. Thanks. :)

Take a look at Yate. It works well as a B2BUA-SBC.

Setting up users for authentication and registration on Yate is as simple as editing a file containing usernames and passwords. You can install a web interface called Free Sentral but I don't think you'll need it.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge - I looked up B2BUA on wikipedia and still don't understand what we're talking about.
Is there a "B2BUA for Dummies" which would help me understand the issue?
