Kia Ora,

I have set up my digium cards as below for PIF. I had a power outage and the Trunks were all put back into Group 0 instead of g0 = TK1, g1 = TK 2, g2 = TK 3. Bit of a pain. How can I stop this from happening again - yes I now have a UPS - is there a custom file I could put these settings into ? Also is this the correct context to use - from-trunk ?

TIA.

A power outage should not rewrite your text files.

When the power comes back on, it should come up as before.

You can had edit the files to put whatever trunks you like into any group you want. You can then create the trunk in fpbx either by writing the channel number "1" or "2" etc, or by putting in the group number "g1", "g2"

The advantage of using groups is that when setting outbound routes, you can just select the group of trunks to use, but if using channel numbers, it's a bit more confusing in outbound routes, particularly if you have a T1 / E1.

Joe

PS. Tip for the day, check the BIOS to make sure that the PBX starts up again automatically after a power outage.
