I've noticed on a new pbxinaflash install with no zaptel hardware (ztdummy only) that zaptel keeps crashing.

* Running Asterisk Version : Asterisk 1.4.21.2
* Asterisk Source Version : 1.4.21.2
* Zaptel Source Version : 1.4.12.1
* Libpri Source Version : 1.4.7
* Addons Source Version : 1.4.7

I've ran update-scripts, update-fixes, and update source, it finishes, etc.

I manually start everything and later when I come back zaptel isn't running and asterisk doesn't work.
Normally I'd just re-download everything and manually compile but with all the dahdi changes I'm leery of doing that.

Nothing critical since this is a development box just thought I'd let you know in case it's a larger issue.

Something else has come unglued on your machine. I've had machines running this exact configuration for months with no problems. :confused5:

I think I might have figured it out
I built this machine quite a while ago; I just did a cat /dev/procinfo and got this for the CPU:
model name : Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz
When I googled it and found this (Doh!):
Specifications
Processor Speed: E2180 / 2.00GHz
Processor Interface: Socket 775
Processor Class: Pentium Dual Core
Processor Core: Allendale
Cache Size: 1MB L2
Bus Speed: 800MHz
Additional Technologies: 64-bit
Intel® EM64T
Dual-Core
Enhanced Halt State
Execute Disable Bit
SSE3
uname -a: Linux pbx.twingeckos.com 2.6.18-92.1.6.el5 #1 SMP Wed Jun 25 13:49:24 EDT 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
I think I loaded the 32 bit version on a 64 bit box!

I think I loaded the 32 bit version on a 64 bit box!

32 bit runs fine on 64 bit hardware, and indeed it is difficult to buy a box which is 32 bit.

My uname -a shows Linux pbx.local 2.6.18-92.1.6.el5 #1 SMP Wed Jun 25 13:49:24 EDT 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux so that all looks good.

I can offer no explanation as to why this might be happening.

What gives you the impression that Zaptel is crashing the box. Have you got some output of the log files.
