Hello all,

Just ran update-source on a new install of pbxiaf 1.4 iso, and I selected the 'safe' option.

I had to run update-source a couple of times as directed by the program. Once done with the yum updates, the system came back up, but Zaptel appears to be offline.

Everything still seems to work OK - should I be concerned?

Has anyone seen this before? I've searched through the forums, but I can't seem to find anything.

Any tips would be appreciated!

You might want to run genzaptelconf from the command line. Then amportal restart.

Hi John, thanks for the reply. I tried doing that after I first noticed the issue, and it didn't even run. I was just looking through some other conversations about doing this update, and apparently I should have left it alone. Haven't had any complaints yet, and its a small system - we'll see what happens!

Thanks :)

To check the linux zaptel drivers:

I would run zttool at the linux command prompt to see if the zap devices are there. Check /etc/zaptel.conf to see if it is configured properly for your hardware. You can run "service zaptel restart" to reload them. You can also type "ztcfg -v" to see what it reports.

To see what the Asterisk interface is doing, check the /var/log/asterisk/full file using webmin - others - file manager. "full" can grow to a pretty big file so that is why I use File Manager to view it. Search for zaptel, you should see the section where it is loading the configuration for your zaptel cards, errors are reported there.

Finally, you can visit my webpages on troubleshooting zaptel cards for more information that you really care to know about
